Having problems with your Nissan Maxima ?

My car has a full tank of gas but it keeps on saying fuel level is low and it will drive maybe half a mile and stop and wont start. I ran out of gas one time and it has not worked ever since even with a full tank. i was told it might have a reset button, please help me.

You don't say how old your vehicle is. On occasion in older cars if you let the tank run dry you run the risk of dislodging deposits of dirt and rust. When the tank is refilled the debris can clog the pick filter within the tank and/or the in-line fuel filter. Check for a) pressure and b) healthy fuel flow from the fuel rail on the engine. If either is compromised investigate the filters especially the pick up filter sock.
