Having problems with your Isuzu Rodeo ?
Transmission leaks just above the valve body assembly, looks like a seal, what is this
The pan gasket is a common leak on most transmissions if they do leak ( alll leaks are bad ) You might be able to stop the leak by just tightening the bolts a little. Most of the time it's not a gasket that your looking at but, a silacone ( liquid ) slealr that dries to form a gasket. Most of the time it their leaking you need to drain the trans remove the pan clean off all the old gasket ( really well, no oil even ) and the trans tooand with it clean and dry install a newgasket ( Or sealant). Most gaskets are sold in a transmission filter and gasket kit so install the new filter to and as you drained out the fluild put in the correct amount of new fluild. As recomended for your car ( theres lots of different kinds) Being you did'nt say the year or model engine size or transmission type even car or truck i can't tell which one is yours. Be carefull tighting the bolts ( their hard too get out if you break them) If using silacone sealer it's very important too get al the oil off ( it won't stick to the pan or the trans as it'll be sticking to the oil instaed ) let it tack up as the directions on the tube recomends and then install the pan with the bolts just run up ( in but not tightened) let the sealer dry then tighte the rest of the way The tube says how long to wait and how thick to put it on.
