Having problems with your Dodge W250 ?

My 93 dodge w250 5.9 liter Cmmings turbo diesel does not want to idle. Runs at high rpm. On the road cruises around 30 or 40 mph and heating up brakes trying to stop. Linkage not sticking. If I rev engine higher and lower it will sometimes try to idle down. But that causes the engine to stall.

Answers :

Great engines using Bosch injection. This should be physically inspected for anything that may be missed but it really sounds like you have an internal leak in the pump causing excess fuel to be delivered to the injectors. If this is the case, the pump can be rebuilt but only by someone qualified with these. If you need removal instructions, let me know. Air leaks will not cause this on a diesel engine.
