Having problems with your Dodge Cars & Trucks ?

I fill the tank to the top. When I drive over 200 miles the fuel gage reads 3/4 full and won't drop below that.

\015 I bought a new tank and had a mechanic replase the leaking one. When I asked him to check it, he did and lubricated the float. Doing that didn't help. What could be wrong?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 19-02-2018

Answers :

Sounds like the sending unit has a bad spot in the resistor that makes the float hang up at 3/4. You probably need to replace it.
The float has a wire that slides across a resistor as the float moves.
