Wire supplying ground power to the lanp scoket is spring connection. Dur to both elements being on at the same time causes the connection to over heat. This heats up the spring acusing a pore connection. As time goes by, the problem is agravated until it opens.
\015\012Solution: Remove bulb socket. Remove wire,( Brown, two each). Clean wire contact. re streach spring. clean base contact with a small screw driver. Re-insert and apply white lithilum grease. Should work for a while. I have nor foung a direct replacement for the socket. it is rather flat and anither replacement may not fit in the housing.
