Having problems with your 2006 GMC Envoy ?

2006 GMC Envoy XL gas gauge reads empty after filling, then slowly moves up after driving but will continue to lose pressure until it reads empty and the light is on, then the check engine light came on.

Answers :

The sulfur content in the fuel is contaminating the contacts of the sending unit.

Some people have had good luck with some fuel system cleaners solving this problem. The cheap stuff doesn't seem to do the job.

Not that GM isn't completely exonerated from fault but the gas stations don't do a very good job of watching what the stations sell.
Same exact problem with my GMC. I filed a complaint with GMC directly and sent them an email of this problem. Please everyone do the same.
