Having problems with your 2004 Volvo XC90 ?

Getting a used 2004 XC90-T6

\015 I want to ask your opinion as I am getting a used XC90 with 62k miles on it. The vehicle it is extremly clean from original owner, no leaks, shifting gears smooth, so I found it in extreme good condition.\015\012Should I be aware of any problems? What service is required at 60k and how long to wait to change the timing belt?\015\012Also, is there a transmission filter, or just fluid needs to be replaced as service?\015\012Your answer will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 19-03-2018

Answers :

Dont buy the T6 version. They have had TONS of transmission problems and it runs about 5-6K for a new one (dealer). My experience has seen some on their third transmission, and in my shop there are currently at least six waiting for transmissions which are on backorder due to the demand. Buy the 2.5T (5 Cyl.) or the V8, both of those are much better vehicles.
