HARD STUMBLE at low RPM while driving - 6 cylinder auto

\015 This quick hard stumble occurs infrequently but it is a real jolt. The vehicle shows high mileage (200,000) but has been well maintained. It's equipped with automatic transmission and FWD. \012The brief stumble, sometimes accompanied by a flash in the instrument indicator, is less like a miss and more like a quick shut-down. It occurs most often in overdrive at below 1500 rpms, as when approaching an upgrade and continues unless third gear is selected.\012\012Does this indicate a faulty coil or plugs or a fuel delivery problem?\012\012Incidentally, a leaking vacuum hose on top of the engine was corrected last year. That appeared to improve the occasional hard miss condition the vehicle exhibited then. But it is back with a vengeance now.\012\012Thank you for any intelligent suggestions.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 26-02-2018
