Having problems with your 2003 Nissan Xterra ?
My 2002 nissan xterra has a check engine light on and has now begun overheating.we just had maintenance done including a water pump about 3 months ago so i dont know why we would be having these problems.if there is a easy solution please let me know
Here are a couple of suggestions.\015\012\015\0121. Check to see if the electric cooling fans are working properly. Let the car idle until the engine gets hot. Watch to see if the dual fans ever kick in. If the fans never turn on then the problem could be the fans themselves, the fan relay, a fuse, or a temperature sensor.\015\012\015\0122. Your thermostat may be stuck closed.\015\012\015\0123. When the check engine light is on you can take the car to most auto parts stores and they will pull the codes for you for free. This could help to identify where the problem is.
