On 2003 Honda Element: replaced battery

There is code specific to each honda. The code is either in the manual, or posted somewhere randomly around the car. Mine is on a white sticker in the door jam of the drivers seat. It is a six digit code. You just type in that code with the 1-6 buttons and it works. It took me 2 hours to figure this out, but basically, its a anti-theft mechanism.

You need the radio code. To get it, bring the car to your honda dealer, they will pull the serial number and give you the code.
