My car is smoking blue smoke - 2003 BMW 3 Series

Answers :

Blue smoke out of the exhaust is indicative of either worn piston rings or valve guides. Either of which will require extensive work to fix. Oil is basically slipping past the rings or guides and into the combustion chamber, where it is being burned and expelled as blue smoke out of the exhaust.

Keep an eye on your oil consumption. A newer model BMW like yours should be consuming less than half a quart of oil every 3-5k miles. If it is consuming more than this then it needs to be diagnosed as either the piston rings or valve guides and repaired, typically by a shop for a job this big on a late model BMW.
You need OIL SON!!!!.
