2002 Jeep Liberty Prolonged Cranking problem

\015 I have a 2002 Jeep Liberty 3.7L, the problem i have is that when i go start the car, it takes longer than normal to crank over. I have already changed the Spark plugs, battery, crank and camshaft sensor, cleaned the throttle out, and had the fuel pump buellitin done. the place that i took it too said that i have good fuel pressure now. has anyone had this problem, or might have any ideas what might be wrong with it? the only thing i noticed when i changed the spark blugs is that the one that went into #1 Cylinder was browner than the other ones and smelled like fuel a little bit. Can anyone HELP!\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 19-02-2018

Answers :

Fuel pump: The engine may crank several seconds before starting due to loss of fuel pressure caused by a bad check valve in the fuel pump assembly. (2002 models)
It sounds like your timing system is on its way out the belt probably has streched and is close to not working at all.when u turn your ignition and applies power to the starter for the vehicle to start the piston must be in the right position when the electrical current ignites the spark plug. if u smelled gas thats from fuel that didn't explode in the chamber from a misfire, the misfire is because the spark and the chamber position are not in sync
