Having problems with your 2002 Dodge Neon ?

When I removed the three long bolts that are holding on my shift solenoid, it seems to still be stuck and I can't remove it. I think there are three metal locking extensions at the bottom of the shift solenoid. Can you please explain a safe and easy way to remove the shift solenoid once I took the three bolts out?

Answers :

There are no other bolts or fasteners holding this solenoid in place other than the three you removed. The gasket is holding it in place. I would suggest taping around the solenoid with a mallet until you get it loose. You can also use a plastic handle of a tool, like a screw driver, to tap and loosen it from the mounting location.
