Having problems with your 2001 Dodge Dakota ?

My 2001 Dakota has stopped running

\015 My 2001 Dakota has had rough running issues the last 6months or so. I took it to the repair shop in March. They replaced the cam shaft sensor and crankshaft sensor. Ir ran better but I was told there appeared a wiring issue that they needed to trouble shoot further. They charged me $750 and worked on the car all day. Most of what they did was diagnosis. It also had a exhaust manifold leak which I fixed a month later at a garage by where I work. There they told me the rough running appeared to be fuel injector issues. They suggested getting 4 fuel injectors and trying them out on different cylinders to see if that fixed the issue. Neither of these repair were inspiring confidence. I felt that after $750 it should have been repaired the first time. I read online where someone having similar issues replaced the throttle position sensor. That seemd to be an easy thing to do, so I did that. It improved cruising speed running immensely, but I still had issues with cold starting idling, and acceleration from idle. While I was coming home last night the truck engine stopped running. No sputtering, seizing or any indication. I noticed it when my power steering went off. The started cranks the engine, but the engine will not start. Any ideas? It has a 4.7 L V8, automatic, 4X4 extended cab. The timing chain was replaced about 2 years ago.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 19-03-2018
