Having problems with your 2000 Volkswagen Jetta TDI ?

2000 Jetta is Leaking antifreeze and smoking

\015 My coolent light has been coming off and on for the past 2 weeks or so, I just got antifreeze put into it about a month ago so I just assumed it was the sensor going bad. A couple of days ago I noticed some smoke coming from under my hood... I put antifreeze in it and it came right back out from under my car. I tried to drive it and it started smoking again... What's wrong?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 19-02-2018

Answers :

I think you mean you saw water vapor (some call it steam) not smoke.
\015\012You probably have a hose leaking (badly). If it's not a hose, your water pump shaft seal is probably kaput.
