Having problems with your 2000 Hyundai Accent ?

No power. Runs better the less gas you give it. It is the wordt when the check engine light flashes

Sounds like your car has gone in to limp mode you need to go to a garage and have a diagnostic test
Those cars had an issue with the front exhaust pipe breaking right around the flex pipe. This exhaust leak causes a issue with the b1/s1 oxygen sensor. The check engine light flashes to tell you that you can do damage to your catalytic converter. Take your car to the closest shop, if you do have an exhaust leak look underneath towards the front of the exhaust. If it is leaking there you can change the pipe yourself and just clear the light. Should fix your problem unless you have driven too long with the light flashing, you may have done damage to the catalytic converter
