Whats the best way to break loose an O2 sensor stuck on a 1997 pontiac firebird right off the block on the passenger side?

Answers :

Purchase or tryo to borrow a O2 sensor socket, and use a breaker bar. you can try penetrating oil but I doubt if that will help. when you install a new one use antiseize but make sure you only get it on the threads and use sparingly because you dont want any to get on the sensor itself.
Heat it up! Use a hand held propane or map gas torch. Make sure there is nothing to close to the sensor that can burn and heat the sensor where it is mounted at the exhaust manifold. Make sure your useing the right socket for removing the sensor and always keep a fire extinguisher right next to you when working with an open flame. Good luck.
