Having problems with your 1996 Dodge Caravan ?

96grand caravan 3.3L, I've changed the coil twice, all wiring has been checked, fire is going to the coil fine. After driving for 15-20 min, check engine starts flashing and the motor does not run on all 6 cylinders. This has been checked by 2 different mecanic and they can't repair it. I have also change the computer and it did not help.

Replace spark plug wires
Your car was built with the computer being in open or closed loop. So the computer will not tell you ifit's running bad, unless the mass air flow sensor goes bad, in that case it would run bad. The computer if it was failing would go into safe mode and would go to known mechanical configurations and still run just not good gas milage. so they other two guys are telling you is it is a problem of physical nature a bad plug a bad plug wire or both a coil pack plate going bad something along that nature. The automotive company's learned a long time ago that if the computer makes them a pull toy, (Tow Truck) to fix then no one would buy them. Since it is an intermittent and with heat i WOULD SAY THE FIRING DIODE IS BAD IN THE PLATE THAT THE COILS SIT ON. oR A FUEL PUMP OR SPARK PLUGS. And if a mechanic says it can't be fixed I suggest you find a different mechanic. It also could be a burnt valve once it gets hot it warps enought to miss have a cold and hot compression test done that will tell you if you have a cylinder bad, be it valves or rings at least it would narow it down to electrial or mechanical. aslo the timeng belt could cause problems but don't know whay it would fix itself after it got cold.
