Having problems with your 1994 Toyota Corolla ?
1994 Toyota Corolla-transmission temporarily slipped!
\015 I just bought a 1994 Toyota Corolla yesterday. When I took it out for a test drive, it worked better than I could have hoped. I did plenty of highway and freeway driving (to the point where the car was warmed up) and the transmission sounded just great as did everything else.I took it home and drove it later on that night and, as I was driving at 40-45 mph, the speedometer dropped quickly down to 0, the "o/d off" light came on, and the engine sounded like it was being very overworked. I slowed down (to ~20 mph), turned on to a side street, turned the car off for a second, turned it back on, and it was doing the same thing for about a minute longer, then all of a sudden, it seemed okay again. The guy who sold me the car assured that his business checks fluids and everything, so I didn't think to check the transmission fluid then, but I'm going to right now. Also, the car came from Wisconsin and I live in Minnesota, so he assured me that his employee who brought the car to the dealership was able to make sure it got a good test drive and said it didn't give him any problems then.Any ideas?\015
