Having problems with your 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee ?

I need to replace the drive shaft

\015 I was towing the Jeep on a dolly and I had unhooked the drive shaft at the rear differential. Unfortunately the front of drive shaft slipped ed out of the transmission and dragged on the ground - ruining the end that fits into the transmission. Any tricks of the trade on replacing this when I find a replacement part?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 19-03-2018

Answers :

One the spline end there will be a keyway type spline one that is a different size than the rest. Make sure that is lined up before anything. Once you have the shave mostly in place i normally put the U-Joint in place and then pull or push the middle of the driveshaft to make both ends line up. Once you have all the slack out of the driveshaft and U-Joint tighten the bolts and make sure your fluid is full.
