Having problems with your 1989 Nissan Stanza ?

I have replaced the battery several times and put in a new alternator but the battery keeps on dieing no me. I think something is shorting out the battery but I am not 100% sure. If I had a diagram of the wiring it would be a lot easier to find it. Any help would be great.

Answers :

Are the battery cables tight on the battery? If not then you will create an arcing on the battery terminal which will drain the battery. I would say that you have a short somewhere or there is a light staying on that you don't know about.

Also how clean are the battery cables? Do they have corrosion on them? How does the wires look connection to the battery? Are they old and broken looking?

Post you answer and we can go from there.
