Having problems with your Volkswagen Jetta ?

1997 jetta glx VR6 dies after it it runs for 10- 20 minutes. Let it sit for 10 to 20 minutes and it starts right back up... The car has 173,000. Crankshaft Position sensor possibly the problem

\015 I can start my car on a hot day, drive for 10 to 25 minutes and then it will die on me when i bring the RPMs down to an idle or once im sitting at a stop sign. If i keep it at a steady RPM as in highway cruising speeds it doesnt die but it will have a brief stutter every so often. When it dies i can let her sit for a while, 10 to 20 minutes, and it starts right back up but then does this all over again. Could it be the Crankshaft position sensor??\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 23-10-2017
