Having problems with your Toyota 4Runner ?

89 toyota 4runner, replaced battery, starter. cables......will run for a few days/weeks, then will not start. Sometimes a jump will work, have also put it on a charger, tap on the starter etc. Will not start one day, will the next. tks Charlie

You need to have your alternator tested. That model year should have an external voltage regulator that could be over or under charging. Over charging is as bad as undercharging. If you ask them too, autozone or any parts store will check them both for you.

\015\012Also check the ground wire connection for the battery. my 70 mustang did the intermittent starting thing and the ground wire was loose at the battery.
