I recently took my 1998 Plymouth Grand Voyager SE van to a dealership and they installed a new BCM (Body Control Module)because my doors and interior lights were not working, etc. After driving it home and parking it, and closing the doors with the door switch, the van keeps going into the Alarm Set mode whenever I open any door. Fuel still has pressure after it dies so fuel pump is working. This model has no pickup coil and ignition module appears to be in Engine control module. Is timing picked up by crackshaft sensor? What is the most likely culprit. Engine control module is $179.00 so would like to exhaust all other possibilties first.

In days gone by the door switch grounded the dome lamp, courtesy lamp, circuits to turn them on.
