I have a 2005 Ford V6 Escape that shows a 353 code. I replaced the COP on # 3 spark plug, it was bad. Since I had the intake manifold off, I replaced all 6 spark plugs and all 6 COPs. I went through the procedure for the relearning of the PCM The Chech Engine Light came back on and the code again was 353. I connected a volt meter to the red wire on the connector that attaches to #3 COP and the meter read +12dcv.I connected a new COP with a spark plug to the #3 lead and started the engine, the pl

Turned off car, tried to start again and didnt. removed upper manifold, full of coolant. drained, cleaned up and replaced manifold, spark plugs, oil. tried to start and it cranks and almost starts, but just wont turn over. mechanic said plugs are getting a spark etc. Thinks it may be a head gasket. Any ideas? Thanks

The orginal problem sounds like it blew the intake manifold gasket. The coolant then gets into the oil and sometimes the combustion chamber. Once the spark plugs get dowed like this they might not work good. Of course the oils been changed and the ... Oldsmobile 88

The person who sold the car to me said he replaced the mass air flow sensor and it appears to look brand new. The car has been throwing out t

By your description, I tend to agree with fuel pump issue. Could be something as simple as a connection on the pump -loose ground and/or power wire or an intermittent pump. At 83,00 that's far from being "over the hill" Also just a thought, converter ... 1997 Mercury Cougar XR7

I tool my Impala in because it was running rough, the mechanic told me it was an injector not the spark plugs like I thought. When he called to tell me it was done he said they covers on the intake manifold had fell into the motor and he had to get them out and replace the intake manifold. He would never come right out and tell me my intake manifold was bad. I feel like he is not being honest about the whole deal and I don't think I should have to pay for his screw up.

I tried to replace the spark plugs in my 02 camry xle v6.. I gave up when seeing that the rear plugs are too far behind the intake manifold then is worth my effort. When I reconnected all the wiring, My check engine light, VCS light, and Tracs Off light came on and my car was stuttering. I took a look and found 2 loose connections - one was the connection to the EGR valve and the other was a spark plug wire I believe. After fixing the connection errors, the car stopped stuttering and everythi
