Having problems with your Lexus ES 300 ?

My car runs realy well but it sounds like the lifters are ticking what can i do to fix it?

First off make sure you are using the correct weight oil for this vehicle. Also make sure you are using a quality filter such as Purolator, Wix, or Bosch. Even if you are using a good filter it may have a bad drain-back valve if this started right after an oil change. If that is the case replace the filter. If you answer yes to these questions then you may have varnish buildup or a sludge buildup. Purchase a can of Seafoam Engine Tune and pour 1.5 ounces per quart of oil capacity in the crankcase. Drive the car 50 miles and then change the oil/filter. If this did not solve the problem repeat the procedure and drive it 100 miles and change the oil/filter. This should solve the problem unless you have a really bad sludge issue.
