If you live in a State with a Lemon law and do not trust the car you can pursue that. The basic part for the Accelerator is called a ETC Electronic throttle control or TPS, Throttle position sensor. It sends the Signal to make everything work, like spark advance, gas, trans gear, ecetera.

\012I researched some of this for you. There are two TSB modifications for your problem. TSB09-FL-003-2 and TSB09-FL-003-4. The latter is a Reflash of the PCM. Sometimes a Code 2135 is generated by the defect.

\012Now this did not fix a car in Poland that was imported from Canada (TSB09-FL-003-4) but there is no way of telling how many cars were fixed by either TSB. The Dealer has the tools to do the job, I would hope some parts have been changed to trouble-shoot this problem. I would think if this is a continuation of an older Model series, 2009, 2010, that some of the parts are interchangeable. Reliability is proven on the old series parts and that only the redesigned parts are questionable. It would make trouble shooting much easier.

\012The fact that your car remains running while these events occur would seem to narrow the possibilities for connection failures . That single circuit has a Variable resistor in the middle and a break in the connection should kill the engine.

\012I hope my solution is very helpful to you. The TSB's may help on your individual car, but the articles still show that Hyundai has not figured this out. You can print my article and show it to the Dealer if you wish.
