Answers :

Check for trouble codes, even if a check engine or service engine soon light is not present a code my be present. i have seen faulty throttle positioning sensors cause transmission issues or it could be an internal issue ( i recently had a simular issue with a 200 jeep XJ where the transmission wasnt shifting when it should and it ended up being an worn out adjustment inside the transmission) it could also be your kickdown linkage is just out of adjustment ( the cable that goes from your throttle body to your transmission to let your transmission know to downshift when your putting your foot into the throttle)
