Having problems with your Honda Accord ?

When i try to start my car it will only start with the gas fully on, and it will barley run at 1000 rpm and it is backfiring. I had no tools, my car is in a remote location it is a 90 Honda accord exr its had no air filter for 2 weeks problem happened suddenly driving down the road. could it be distributor, or cap i just replaced the spark plugs 10000 ago. if it was a timing belt would it start at all?

Answers :

No it wont be the timing belt it would start at all, it sound more of a distributor rotor that has shifted out of its socket, open the cap and check the rotor some of the rotor are bolted down and have a tendency to move out of its place
