Having problems with your Ford Explorer ?

My 2000 explorer doesn't idle right when started. it revs up then tries to die over and over, but after warmed up idles ok.

If you haven't already get a fuel pressure test. If it fails the test you know it's your fuel filter. Also check the Gap on your plugs.
An engine needs 3 things to run............air flow, fuel flow, and properly timed ignition spark.
When did you last replace the spark plugs, the air filter, or have the engine tuned up? A further thing to look at is the fuel pump, for fuel flow pressure, and the fuel filter, which may be clogged with dirt.
