The plugs are under the coil packs.Not like the old days, one coil, each cyclinder has a coil.Kind of a pain in the a##.Take the dog house off inside the van.Remove air cleaner box air filter.These plugs are not cheep and should last close to 100,000 miles.IF you have a miss fire its more than likely one of the coil packs are bad or a plug has blowen out of the head common problem with 5.7 ford Pull one wire off at atime and you will find the dead hole.Theres a fix for the plug blown out A good parts store or ford parts can help.
You have to remove the engine shroud inside the the passenger compartment. its the cover between the 2 front seats, it covers the back 1/2 of the engine once its off you can see the entire engine almost

I have a 1996 ford 350 van it has a 5.8 engine in it, My problem is when I start it ,It fires right up after a few cranks but if its in park it will idle high and then stall out or if it been running for a while it doesnt stall as much it will only stall than once I use brake or stop at stop light or stop sign I put plugs wires oil change distribtor cap kit on it and still got the problem the van is a 96 e350 5.8 engine any help b great thanks

E250 V8 5.4L van with 8 individual packs on spark plugs. I have 2 cylinders misfiring and have change both packs on those cylinders, still miss fires. Also changed the EGR, no difference what so ever. In addition, installed 8 new plugs and the van still runs with a miss and has no take off power. Someone changed the spark plugs on a friends 2001 Ford Taurus 6 cylinder. It now runs worst that make me think that they got the plugs in the wrong order.
