Hello Amos.
Without knowing which engine you have I will hazard a few suggestions for your vehicles issues. I will try to list in order of what to look for first.
A misfire can be created in several ways. A bad spark plug is always the first and often the easiest solution. A spark plug wire can also leak it's high energy before the plug too. And of course where the spark comes from, the coil could be bad.
Leaking vacuum lines and EGR valves can often create misfires too.
Then we go to the fuel side of problems. A plugged or defective fuel injector or bad wiring to it.
And then the worst possibilities become engine mechanical failures. Worn camshaft lobes, burned valves or vacuum leaks.
Hope this helps you along.
Add more information or questions and I will check back.
