Having problems with your Dodge Neon ?

When i give it gas it seems like its misfiring or fuel pump not working properly

If it is misfiring chances are you will set a code if this car is newer than 96. If it does set a code it will tell you what cylinder is missing. Then you could inspect plugs and wires if applicable. if you have 50,000 or so on those plugs chances thats your problem. But you also may a bad fuel injector or coil.Not knowing the history on your car all we can do is guess. Any parts that can be swapped a code will follow that part. Thats is if you had a code reader to check it.

\015\012If it detects a misfire it shuts off the injector in that cylinder. So if you were to pull the injecor connector off one cylinder at a time, the cylinder that showed no RPM change is the problem one. Then you can compare plugs.

\015\012Sometimes a plug looks good even when its bad.

\015\012Also remember to reactivate the injector by clearing the code or computer memory at the least or the misfire will still be there even after you fixed it.
