Hard idling I have a 2003 VW Passat 1.8T. I talked to a mechanic about the rough idle and he told me a couple of possible causes. The first i do not remember.... LOL..... only that it had something to do with maybe a regulator of some kind, located on the engine manifold. The second fix was to remove and either replace the mass air flow sensor or clean it. I was changing the air filter the other day and found the mass air flow sensor, but could not access it easily do to another tube running out

The vehicle was put on a diagnostic machine for loss of power and it coded the o2 sensor, and the mass air flow, and EGR valve. We put a new o2 sensor in and cleaned the mass air flow. It ran, but no more power than before. So, we changed the air filter and recleaned the mass air flow. When we went to start it, it would not start. We put the egr valve in and called the auto parts store. They told us to take out the o2 sensor and see if it would fire up. We did that and it did start. Does

My Subaru? Hi, I replaced the plugs and wires today. None of the plugs had a white film on them... The car keeps sending the code for a mass air flow sensor which I replaced two days ago. I took the car to a shop and had it looked at by a tech and it said the mass air flow sensor was receiving "high input". I have come to the conclusion that I installed a faulty mass air flow sensor. The car runs really rich and want to stall when idling at a stop light. When sitting at a stop light the car will
