Van overheating Check Gage Light On

\015 The Check Gage light is on and the engine overheats- and not just when AC is on. The needle also swings wildly from HOT to Normal\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 20-11-2017

Answers :

The check gauges light is on because of the temp gauge reading hot.
If you haven't yet, you need to check the coolant level in the radiator and the overflow tank.
If the coolant is full the problem could be a sticking thermostat.
Please click this LINK to read a great article on causes and fixes for overheating problems. I can't post it due to copyrighting. Also DO NOT RUN THIS ENGINE WHEN IT STARTS TO GET HOT YOU WILL SEVERLY DAMAGE IT.
