Having problems with your Audi A4 ?

Hi , My audi a4 97 std auto box is slipping in D

\015 Hi , My a4 std automatic gearbox 97 model is taking longer to get into top gear and at one point felt like it was slipping, I ran it manually thru 123 and D and it was ok , but I am sure the problem will re occur. could this be oil/ filter problem, and if so what fluid does this transmission take. thanks Rory\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 11-12-2017

\015\012Its your body valve in the gear box which is not letting the pump on forward gears pump enough oil to the forward band and because the band isent tight it is slipping..
\015\012Now it could be the oil in box and if you take off the auto pan and clean out the filter on the pick up and refill with DEXTRON II TRANS FLUID then you should be ok as long as it hasent slipped to much .
\015\012Let me know how you get on . RON
