I have an 2001 mitsubishi galant 4 cylinder and the motor makes a ticking sound at random times it almost sounds like a fuel injector ticking loudly. car runs good, i check oil levels at times, i put 10w30 oil in it. Just not sure what the ticking sound is you can hear it ticking even with the hood closed. The sound starts at times and then goes away and will come back at no set time period, and then sometimes wont do it for a day or so. thanks for your help

Changed a timing belt on a 87 ply reliant 2.2 engine. Disconnected the battery terminal and that is when the problem started. I'm the father of the young man who's trying to help me get this problem solved. I have a 1990 300ZX NA. I replaced the engine from Tiger Automotive with a JDM motor. After installation, the driver's side cylinder aren't working. I have taken a compression check, replaced coil packs, swapped injectors, set timeing, checked continuity between ECU and injectors, and even put a jump wire between ECU and injector. Ford focus 2001 zx3 107xxx. I have replaced the spark plugs, wire set, fuel filter,fuel injectors,timing belt,valve cover,throttle, motor mounts, vacumm leak. Car felt rough after the vacumm leak hose was replaced so I did the wire set wich I needed but still the same and shakes a little with a rattle notice when stopped or air is on. Now I'm told to change the serpentine belt and idler pulley along with steering fluid. Would that do it ? Any other suggestions ?

My engine has a slight stumble/skip at idle. i have changed the plugs/wires twice with irodium tip plugs. it shows miss fires on the scanner and will log them in history. but after 20 seconds it cleares them out and does not set a miss fire code. I have cleanned the intake several times and used a otc fuel injector cleanning kit to clean the injectors. i use 93 oct by perfrence. I have a 1995 Lexus LS400 with persistant P0302 and P0308 misfire codes. Sparkplugs, wires, caps and rotors are new as is the timing belt. The same codes were set before and reset after the replacement of above parts. NGK sparkplugs were installed. I also replaced #8 fuel injector because it sounded weaker than the the other injectors. My Chevy Corsica blows the 15 amp fuse that is connected to the computer and fuel injector every once and awhile. When it happens the car dies and coast to a stop. After setting for a few minutes you can put a new fuse in and the car will run again for a few days. And Sometimes it blows 3 or 4 fuses before it starts again other times you stick a new fuse in and it kicks right over.
