Answers :

Make sure the battery is fully charged before installing it. Some manufactuers have problems with electronics working with a low charge.

You may be able to get a scan on your vehicle with a more advanced scanner like a Dealer uses. You will not get any readings with the built-in system unless a "check engine" light is on.

The onboard computer can be bypassed with a Dealer unit which directly communicates with the vehicle components. The Dealer computer directly reads the engine controls and a Technician can ask different questions through this hookup.

Yes, it is possible for the vehicle to relearn its operating perameters.

Also wire your backup camera to a power line that is shut off when the car is off. Some people use the backup switch or backup lights to power the camera.
