Having problems with your Cars & Trucks ?

I am getting no Speaker output on my 2004 Yukon XL. Radio and CD player are working fine. In fact I can plug my head phones in in the rear and hear everything great. I check the fuse for the Radio AMP and that is fine. Any thoughts?

Answers :

Hi Jay, Check the cables connecting the speakers. The head phones are usually driven by the pre-amp and as such won't be affected by a problem with the main amplifier. If the cable continuity is good you have a problem with the output of the amplifier. This can happen if the amp has been over loaded or with a sudden surge of power. The usual problem is with the output power transistors. Regards John
