Clutch Replacement I need to replace the clutch in my 93 Saturn SL1, I've replaced two clutches (in other cars) and didn't think this would be a big deal, but I am told I have to pull the motor and trans to install a new clutch kit (--disc, pressure plate, and throw out bearing) Can I just to slide it over to the subframe and add another support, like jackstand, to hold it up? Do I have to remove the motor?

THe answer to your question is YES. No need to remove the motor. You do have to pull both axels (make sure you drain the lubricant first). I just did one last weekend that way and it worked ok. ... 1993 Saturn SL1

2001 Dodge 4x4 diesel 6-speed. Replaced clutch and pressure plate, now the starter won't turn the engine over.. Tried turning it over with the harmonic balancer, and the output shaft on the x-fer case. No luck, it is locked up tight. Flywheel, clutch and pressure plate all installed to spec. Tranny and engine mate tight. Why is the engine locked??

One problem pops into head when I think about your description of the problem. The bolts that hold the pressure plate to the flywheel may be too long, causing the engine block to interfere with the rotation of the flywheel. ... 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 Truck

I have a B2500 that has recently had a clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing replaced. Also the master cylinder for the clutch has been replaced. Every so often the truck becomes hard to shift unless I pump the clutch. Sometimes the cap on the reservoir for the master cylinder is tight, like there is a vacuum. Sometimes opening this reservoir causes the vacuum to leave and the clutch to operate normally. Sometimes the clutch master must be bled. A local shop told me to check the end

You may have to check the clearance between master cylinder push rod and piston. (just above pedal)Should be approx .020" or about thickness of hacksaw blade. ... Mazda B-Series Truck

I need to adjust the clutch on a 1995 standard mighty max mitsubishi I changed the clutch disc, pilot bearing, throw-out bearing and pressure plate, but the clutch stays against the fly wheel when running in neutral and will not allow it to go in any gear. the cable is moving the throw-out bearing fork and to me the fork seems to be to easy to move back and forward. also the clutch cable(although moving the fork) is not in very good shape and needs replacing I'm ruling it out as the sole problem

You will need to turn the cable adjuster so there is only about 1/8 inch of free travel of the cable where it attaches to throw out fork before it starts to move the fork. Once the throw out bearing is achieving its full travel the clutch sh ... 1995 Mitsubishi Mighty Max

We have an '01 Mazda Tribute, 132,00 mi., 4cyl. manual, 2wd. we recently replaced the clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, pilot bearing and the slave cyl. because the clutch was slipping after the engine warmed up. Now a week after the repairs the clutch has started slipping again. I am stumped. I can't figure out why the new assy is slipping. There were no leaks that effected the clutch we removed. It was actually in fair shape. we resurfaced the flywheel. Any help would be appreciated.

When it starts to slip again open up the bleeder screw on the clutch slave cylinder. If the slipping stops then the problem is with the clutch master cylinder. The fluid is not able to return to the reservoir as it expands with heat and is keeping pr ... Mazda Tribute
