After driving for a long while, when i slow down i hear a horrible noise on the front end. it sound like rubbing and squeeling. my mechanic found blue gunk on the brake pads and said he put on new pads and rotors. it is still happening. when i let the call roll on the road, and the speed drops below 30 mph, at about 27 mph i start hearing the rubbing noise and it gets very, very loud when i lightly touch the brakes.

The blue gunk, might be grease from a torn axle boot, or a bad wheel bearing. Of course it's hard to know without looking, but I would be concerned of what the "blue" stuff was and where did it come from. If your mechanic replaced the pads and rotors ... 2005 Nissan Maxima

I have a 2008 Ford Fusion, and have a clunking noise in my front end. It only occurs when I apply the breaks at a slow speed, usually when turning around in a driveway or parkinglot. I dont hear the noise when applying the brakes on a road at a faster speed, only at a very slow speed. I took it to the dealer and they had no luck, anyone have an idea what it could be?

I have a 2006 Mazda 6 wagon - same car under the skin as your fusion. If you have a telescoping steering wheel, it might be that the grease they used for the steering column is substandard. I just fixed my clunky steering by releasing the telescopi ... 2008 Ford Fusion

I hear some kind of wobbly oscillating noise which seems to come from underneath, front passenger side (right hand drive) during accelerating from stationary. The noise oscillates faster as vehicle pick up speed and disappear when the vehicle is already cruising steadily. No noise is heard when the vehicle is running/cruising slowly (gear engaged) with foot on the gas pedal. It will resume to make noise once again if accelerating from very slow speed or stationary. I tend to think that its n

I have a 1997 dodge Dakota 5.2l v8 with 165,000 miles. There is a couple of problems that I'm not sure what it is. 1st problem is when the car is rolling I hear a type of grinding noise by the front drivers side wheel. It's not the brakes cause they are new. The 2nd thing is the truck seems to shift hard from 1st to 2nd and downshifts at slow speed too soon. The 3rd is I'm hearing a some vibrating noise in the rear when I take off or turn from a stop.

I Have 2006 HHR ,Hear a rubbing noise that changes with my speed sounds like driveshaft or scraping disc brakes , brakes are fine not sure about c-v joint how can I check, could it be a bearing in the transaxle case?

At low speed sharp turns (like in a parking lot), I hear a rubbing or scraping noise. The noise seems to be in time with the wheels moving. I actually hear it better with the windows shut. The front brakes are brand new and the back brakes only two years old

My 93 Pontiac sunbird 3.1 abs, is making some type of rubbing noise almost like that noise you hear when semi trucks wheels contact the pavement. It only makes the noise when I turn left at high speeds. Any ideas, possibly a front passenger bearing ?

I have a pretty loud growling noise in my rear end. While my tires are worn, and have a bit of a chop in them, I'm hearing the growling particularly loud when traveling at slow speeds, less than 10 mph. I would doubt that the tires would be causing this sort of growling. I have removed one of the rear wheels and spin the wheel and get a bit of a growling or rubbing sound from the assembly. The brake pads don't appear to be rubbing due to a warped disc but I can't tell that there is the typic

I have a 94 ford mustang. I hear a bad "rubbing noise" in the front end and also a whine from the power steering pump. The steering seems to be ok, but people are telling me i need a new power steering pump..this is only happening at low speeds when turning the steering wheel right or left just a little. doesn't seem to be happening at faster speeds. Is this the power steering pump going out or something worse?

When I start using the breaks and when I'm running at slow speed. The noise at first made me think that it could b something with the break pads or even the disk itself, but the break system is installed at the front, plus, I ddn't hear the pads wearing out and doens't seens to affect the break's response or effectivity. I'm hearing a squealing/whining sound from the drivers side front area, but very randomly. It seems to come and go on whim with no apparent outside influences such as speeding up, applying brakes, turning, or anything else. The only thing it does consistently is it stops making that noise when the vehicle slows to a near stop or is stopped. When it happens, it is always when the car is in motion. My front end makes a loud humming noise. At low speeds, I hear a humming noise and at high-speeds I can hear a noise in my tires. Not sure if it is an the wheel bearings, bad tires, or alignement.
