Having problems with your 2011 Lincoln MKX ?

My husband and I purchased a new 2011 Lincoln MKX December 30, 2010, However we did not take possession of the vehicle until Jan.7, 2011. The middle of March, we realized that we had mice in the inside of the vehicle. After setting traps, we caught 3 mice. I took the vehicle to the service shop, and they said they couldn't find where the mice were getting in, however they did put a screen mesh along the firewall. I was wondering if this is something that could be a design flaw???? This vehicl

Hello, Call Lincoln Customer Service to report this problem. Be glad that none of the mice died inside your duct-work. It would be hard to imagine the mice lived inside your vehicle before you drove home. But as a dispute issue, you did not order a factory mouse-equipped car. You do not know where the mice came in, but you also do not know when they arrived either.

\012It is becoming more common to use natural materials like SOY-based foam for the seats and some of the wiring and insulation are derivatives of this and other organic materials. To me this is like putting food out for the varmits.

\012Our problem on our new 1988 Lincoln Mark 7 Bill Blass Edition was also caused by rodents of another type. Our A/C stopped working. When the mechanics opened the ductwork they found about 3 pounds of Black Walnuts that had been dropped into a hole in the air valance under the windshield. We had wondered what the squirrels were doing running under the car all the time. They picked an expensive stash for their winter food. Our Dealer did not charge us a dime for all the work involved in opening the dash. They even bagged the Walnuts and left them for us.

\012Twenty-two years later we are still purchasing Lincolns from their Dealership. I would call the main Lincoln Customer Service and since they can not say when the mice arrived, they could at least split the bill with you. Put some traps inside your garage too!
