Corolla LE remote not working

\015 Just bought a 2009 corolla LE sedan (second hand). The remote was working for the first week. But it now stops working. It doesn't lock/unlock the doors (keyless not working, key itself still opens the door, of course...), nor does it start the car. Wondering what's the reason. The red light on the key still flashes when I push the buttons. So I figure it's not the battery's problem. Since it can't ignite the engine, I assume it's not the receiver that's broken either. Am I wrong on any of these conclusions? If it's not a battery or receiver issue, what could possibly be wrong with the key?\015\012If you have any other suggestions, please feel free to tell me too.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 18-12-2017

Answers :

Replace the battery. The light just means there is enough charge to light the LED.
