EPC light is not coming on when I turn on the ignition in my 2006 Jetta

\015 Repairman says over the phone that this is the reason my car is not starting. None of the fuses say EPC. How do I troubleshoot this?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 23-10-2017

Answers :

Well the EPC light is for electronic power or pedal control, which refers to the gas pedal and throttle body. The light can come on for a number of reasons including issues with the fly-by-wire gas pedal, throttle body, cruise control, brake light switch, and others.
Not coming on when you turn the key on for a test could be a blown fuse for the computer since the EPC light is not on a fuse. You may have to check them all to make sure. Of course the bulb could be out too.
