I am having problems with my heater in 2003 Malibu. Sometimes the air comes out cool even though I have heater control turned to hot. If I jiggle (twist the control back and forth many times) the air starts to come in hot. That can continue for some time, but eventually it turns cool again. If I repeat the procedure it will warm up again. Another variable is the RPM of the motor. The air seems to be hotter the higher the RPM. So, if I am going uphill the air is hotter than when I am going

I own a 2002 Buick LaSabre. I am having trouble with my heater. When the problem first started, sometimes the blower would come on and other times it wouldn't. Then I started to smack the top of the dashboard to get it to work. Now it doesn't come on at all. Even so, my heater was still letting hot air out through the vents. Now my heater lets some warm air (never hot) out of the vents and only when my car is going over 40MPH. I don't know if it's the blower, the heater, an electrical problem or

Heating problem The heat in my 96 impala does not come out hot and as I drive becomes colder. I have changed the water-pump, the heater core, the radiator and had the coolant system flushed out twice. The flow logic is right coming through the hoses had that tested. I cant seem to figure out the problem. Had the heater core tested removed lower panel to see if heater core gets hot and it does. It seems as if to much cold air is coming through the blower. My air conditioner blows hot air and my heater blows cold air. Ac cycles to heat-this is when the ac is needed-hot air comes out of left center vent and cool air comes out of right center vent simultaneously. Eventually all vents blow hot air. Was told several causes are...calibration (which I had done 2x-did not fix issue) Heater core was another cause (was advised $2,200 to fix) Flapper control...whatever that is, was another cause that was told to me. Do you know what the real cause is?

It wouldn't be the heater core. The flapper control, is the blend door actuator, which should close off to the heater core so hot air doesn't get in with the cold air from the evaporator. Most likely it's the actuator, not opening and closing the doo ... 2003 Lincoln LS

My heater in the Mercedes c240 1999 car is not working well. One side of the heater (left hand side is ok) but the right hand side keeps on blowing out hot air even when it is on the cold setting. Any ideas? Also, the engine fan (cooling fan) keeps coming on and it seems to be draining the battery. When I pull out the fuse to this cooling fan, the coolant sensor light stays on and car seems to overheat somewhat. Could this have anythiing to do with the heater blowing hot air? Thanks!

When the heater is turned on .. only cold air comes out. I changed the thermostat but this did not fix the problem. Hot air will come out occasionally but not consistantly and does not stay hot. Any help would be appreciated

If heat comes and goes I would first suspect as defective the flap which lets outside air into the heater box with the movement of the temperature control slider or knob. this may well be hard to get to behind the glove box under the dash. ... 2005 Dodge Caravan

Air Conditioner and blower works ok, Turn to heat and there is no heat coming out of vents, only cold air. Line going into heater coil is hot, line out is not hot. Could this be a fuse or vacuum leak? Is there a way to bypass heater contol and verify this is not a wiring issue.

In my truck, i don't seem to be getting any cold air with the air conditioning is on. I have ruled out the ac compressor because the clutch engages when the ac is turned on and the ac lines going into the firewall are cold. The only air coming out of the vents is hot air from the heater core. I am led to believe one of the directional doors or flaps that controls the mixture of cold and hot air is not working.
