Having problems with your 2005 Ford Expedition ?

I WAS DRIVING MY 2006 EXPEDITION, A WRENCH APPEARED ON THE DISPLAY AND THE SUV SLOWED DOWN, I WAS ABLE TO PULLED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. I TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF AND TRIED TO TURN IT BACK ON, WOULDN'T COME ON. WAITED A FEW MINUTES, TRIED AGAIN, IT TURNED ON. THE MANUAL CALLS IT LIMP HOME (SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE THROTTLE)

Answers :

Most likely problem, there are a series of four swithes that allow the throttle to operate. 2 on pedal and 2 on throttle body. A failure of 1 of these switches will cause loss of throttle control. This is a failsafe design that Toyota might need to investigate. Regardless your vehicle will need to be professionally diagnosed to pinpoint the problem.
