Having problems with your 2005 Chevrolet Uplander ?

Heat (or lack there of)

\015 Fan blows cold air only with the heat selector in the hot position. The A/C is off, the temperature gage shows to be warm. Any Ideas?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 11-12-2017

Answers :

The heat source for the fan is probably comes from the liquid coolant in the radiator. Since the temp gauge shows it to be warm, my assumption is that there is no hot liquid getting to the heat element in the AC/heat plenum.

Do the controls feel any different than they usually do? I'm assuming you have probably been using the system in the AC mode during the summer. I would try to see what happens when the different heater controls are moved. Somewhere there is a valve that is not being actuated, or a vent door that is not moving. My experience (personal) is that a door that controls air flow is not operating and that's because it has sat in one position all summer. Sorry I can't be more specific.

Hope this helps Good luck Loringh
