2003 Tahoe, 5.3 liter vortec flex fuel. Engine replaced at 60k miles due to low end knock (typical late model GM). Scanner shows mutiple misfires on all 8 cylinders and erratic timing. Rough idle. When it is first started it floods out so badly that it almost will not run. you have to hold the rpms at about 3000 just to keep it running. According to a matco determinator scanner it is stuck on 85% ethanol. I have never used ethanol. Before we replaced the transmission we didn't have this problem. We replaced the tranny with a used and that's when it began. I knew that we needed to do some things to the jeep so I did the following, replaced: Crank shaft sensor,fuel pump, distributor, cap, button, wires, plugs, fuel filter, air filter, vacuum hoses, cleaned the intake and throttle body, replaced with used the speed sensor, (did not change out any of the other sensors from the old tranny).Had 2 different computers(diagnostic)
