\015 The oil dip stick is broke off and is about 1 inch below top of shaft. It broke off where the yellow plastic stopper is located. Too far down shaft for needle nose plyers. How can I get it out?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 25-09-2017

Answers :

You have to remove the oil dipstick tube.  Most are just pushed into the engine block with a o ring seal.  With some effort you should be able to pull it directly out.  Have you tried a bent coat hanger with a barbed end?\015\012
\015\012The procedure is easy the acessability may be the hard part.
Put a sharp tight bend in a coat hangar and wedge it into tube and pull up, placing tension on the stick. If that fails to work, you can pull tube out of block and just push stick out! To replace, get unit from junkyard. Put a block of wood on top of tube & gently tap down into place!
