Having problems with your 2004 Dodge Stratus ?

Coolant loss I went in for an oil change, they are telling me I am at least 3 gallons short on coolant. My first question: is the reservoir even that big? Second question: what is the most likely spot it is leaking from?

Answers :

If it is a four cylinder, your coolant capacity is two gallons. If it is a 2.7 six cylinder it is just over two gallons. The waterpump on the four cylinder has a history of leaking in which you would also replace the timing belt while in there since it drives the waterpump. Some radiators have been known to leak also. Have the system pressure tested to find out for sure.
